UUID / GUID Generator
Generate cryptographically secure UUID v4 (random) and v1 (timestamp) identifiers in bulk with custom casing, hyphenless, and JSON array formatting.
What is UUID / GUID Generator?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) or GUID is a 128-bit value standardized under RFC 4122 to uniquely identify information across distributed computing architectures without centralized coordination. Our tool generates cryptographically random UUID v4 and timestamp-based v1 identifiers in bulk (up to 50) using the browser’s native Web Crypto API CSPRNG with zero server dependencies.
Designed for accuracy, speed, and privacy, this tool runs entirely on your local device with zero network latency.
How to Use the UUID / GUID Generator
- 1Select your desired UUID version (Version 4 Random or Version 1 Timestamp-based).
- 2Choose your output quantity using the counter (generate from 1 up to 50 UUIDs simultaneously).
- 3Customize formatting toggles: Upper/Lowercase, standard hyphens, no hyphens, curly braces ({...}), or C-array syntax.
- 4Click "Generate UUIDs" to trigger instant local generation, then copy individual keys or export the full batch as a .txt list.
Formula & Calculation Logic
Conforms strictly to RFC 4122 §4.4. Utilizes window.crypto.getRandomValues() to populate 16 random octets, setting the 4-bit version nibble to 0100 (4) and the 2-bit variant nibble to 10 (DCE 1.1 variant).
